2023 Rose Parade

January 2nd, 2023 – the day of the 2023 Rose Parade.
BAZIC employees, family and friends showed up at the BAZIC Products office at five in the morning. While cold and dark out, everyone was full of all sorts of emotions. We gathered together to situate car rides and then left the office around 6:30am. Our (4) float riders and (14) walkers took a shuttle to where our float was stationed before the parade.

Once arrived, they waited in the shuttle for about an hour to finish getting ready and prep themselves for the big event. Around 7:00-7:15am they went out and headed towards the float. The parade didn’t start until 8:00am, so most of them spent time to check out other floats or waited around by the BAZIC float. Endless number of people passed by and took pictures of our Launching our Future Generation float.

As time went by, it was 8:00am. Our float drivers told the team that they still had some time before getting themselves in place. Also, since our parade entry was #69, we were place closed to the end of the parade. Excitement and nerves were running through our riders and walkers. About 30-45mins later, it was show time for the BAZIC team. It started off a little slow in the beginning as they waited for the other floats, bands, equestrians, vehicles, and special guests to take off into the parade. But even before reaching TV corner, lots of people gathered to find a place to watch.

Once we reached Wrigley Mansion – the house of the Tournament of Roses – we received the Crown City Innovator Award! This award was for “most outstanding use of imagination, innovation and
technology”. Thank you AES for your hard work in creating our float, and thank you Tournament of Roses for awarding us at our first Rose Parade!

Our float riders and walkers began their lively waves and cheers of “Happy New Year” to all the spectators. As they approached TV corner, the crowd and ambiance was much larger and extraordinary than when they first took off. After passing TV corner, we had the rest of our BAZIC employees, family, friends, and supporters located at True Food Kitchen – on the corner of Colorado Blvd and S Pasadena Ave. We bought out the restaurant on the day of and for the duration of the parade so that our BAZIC staff and guests can get a great view of the parade and enjoy some delicious breakfast. By the time we all saw each other, we could not stop the thrilling cheers we had for each other.

The parade went on for around 2-3 hours, and was a 5.5-mile route that began at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Blvd in Pasadena and concludes at Sierra Madre Blvd and East Villa Street.

Thank you to everyone who watched us at the parade or on tv! Words cannot express how all of us felt during the day of the parade, but we are very grateful to be able to experience this for the first time. We are all blessed to receive so much love and support at America’s New Year Celebration.

As BAZIC Products is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in 2023, participating in the Rose Parade was a great start to it!

January 1st on New Years day was our Judging day and we had so much fun! This was the first time being able to see everyone in their Graduation outfits all ready to do the parade. There were so many people watching us and it was so exciting. We had all of the animation and CO2 canons going off and we were so happy at how everything looked. Heres a preview of that day:

Prior to the big day, we arranged one more decoration day – on December 28th – so that BAZIC employee, family, and friends could help put some more detail and decoration on the float. Check out our short clip of that day!
