OneLegacy / Donate Life – Lifting Each Other Up Dragon DIY
BAZIC Products is collaborating with OneLegacy at the 2023 Rose Parade FloatFest. We have been great partners with OneLegacy in 2022 and we are so excited to work with them at this very big and special event. If you haven’t figured it out yet, BAZIC Products is participating in the 2023 Rose Parade! Our first ever! You can check out more about our float here.
With OneLegacy doing this for many years, we are so thankful to have them along side us. They asked us to create a fun DIY representing their float for the kids to make while viewing the floats at FloatFest. They liked our Paper Chain Snake DIY that we’ve done in the past, so we’re pretty much doing the same except making it fit OneLegacy’s float design!
Materials you will need:
- Construction / Color Paper
- Adhesive
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Markers (to color / decorate)
Note: in these steps, we are creating a dragon using construction / color paper. You can also color straight on to the template and then follow Step 5 from there.
Step 1: Gather materials
Step 2: Color Page 1 of template and set aside.
Step 3: Cut out one pair of legs and one top piece (from Page 2), trace on to color paper and cut out
Make 2 pairs of legs (total 4 pieces), and however many top pieces you would like for your dragon. Set aside.
Step 4: Cut out one body piece (from Page 3), trace on to color paper and cut out
Make as many body pieces as you like for your dragon. Set aside.
Step 5: Cut out Page 1 that you’ve colored and set aside
Step 6: Starting with the head, apply glue in the box down at the bottom, and wrap around to make a ring
Step 7: Insert body through the head ring, apply glue, and wrap around to make another ring. Chain / link as many body parts as you like for your dragon.
Step 8: Once you’ve reached the end of your dragon body, attached the tail the same way. But make sure its facing right.
Step 9: Glue fire / tongue to the dragon’s head piece
Step 10: Optional – glue dragon legs and top piece to the dragon
