EVENTS: Great Big Family Play Day

The Great Big Family Play Day is an event that brings families together for days of fun and play. This year’s event, held on May 6th & 7th, was no exception, with families from all over the area coming out to enjoy the festivities.

The event took place on a field next to the Autry Museum in Griffith Park, where there were plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. From bouncy houses and face painting to arts and crafts and live music, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

We highlighted three different arts & crafts activities for the kids to make. We brought back the Animal Bracelet which has been a huge hit for the past events that we had; a new one for Mother’s Day, which is the Flower Bouquet; and lastly, a fun Frog Origami in which kids can also compete in a jumping frog race to win prizes! As usual, we have our Free Giveaways where people can get a tote bag and one item from our bright yellow buckets.

Throughout the day, there were a number of performances on the main stage and families could grab a bite to eat from the food trucks and vendors set up around the park. The weather was great over the weekend and there were plenty of areas to sit and relax in between activities.

Overall, the Great Big Family Play Day was a success, bringing families together for days of fun, play, and community. It was great to see so many families out and about, enjoying the beautiful weather and spending time together.
