Materials you will need:

Watch our step-by-step tutorial to create your Father’s Day Shirt Card:

Step 1: Gather materials

Step 2: Cut a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of poster board, construction paper, or color paper in half

Step 3: Fold one of the pieces in half

Step 4: While the card is folded, make 2 cuts 1.5″ from the top of the card, leaving about a 2″ uncut portion in the center. Feel free to use a ruler.

Step 5: Unfold the card and cut the rest of the strip off the back of the card

Step 6: To make the collar: fold the 2 cut edges towards the center of the card. Then glue these piece down to make the collar.

Step 7: Use stickers to create buttons or you can make an origami tie (see below)

Origami Tie:
– Taking a 3.5″ x 3.5″ square, fold it in half diagonally
– Open it back up and bring the corners to the middle line
– Flip the tie over and fold the tip down twice
– Flip back the tie and bring the edges to the middle
– Flip over and you have your tie!

Step 8: Glue tie to Shirt

Step 9: Write a message on the inside of the card. Now you’re ready to give it to Dad for Father’s Day!
