Happy National Family Day
Are the hectic school schedules of the fall season getting to you yet? Are you longing for those past summer days of fun in the sun? First up is MommyCon. This is a great event if you have really young kids and are interested in getting plugged into the latest and greatest gadgets for parents. MommyCon prides itself on being a “nationwide convention series dedicated to creating and nurturing a community of parents and parents-to-be in celebration of natural parenting.” There are panels and workshops in addition to an extensive exhibitor hall for all your shopping delights. Although they have conventions throughout the nation all year long, the next local MommyCon is coming up next month on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove, CA. If you haven’t been to Great Wolf Lodge, it’s a wonderful indoor water park and resort. With so much to see and do, why not make an entire weekend of it! If you’re looking for something to do with your older kids, we suggest checking out the inaugural POP Katoons going on at the Pasadena Convention Center on the weekend of October 5-6, 2019. This event looks like the place to be for a mix of entertainment and pop culture all rolled up into one. Be mesmerized at the Magic Show, have a ball of a time in the Bubbly Ball Pit, get ready for the X-games with skateboarding demos, dance the weekend away at a Rock Concert, or let your imagination flow onto the pages at the Be Artzi Station. Last, but not least, rounding up this jam-packed weekend is the annual Orange County Children’s Book Festival happening at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa on Sunday, October 6, 2019. This fun and FREE book festival is going on it’s 16th year with well over 135 exhibitors, 125 authors, and more than 25 illustrators! For all you sports fans out there, the author featured on this year’s main stage will be none other than NBA Legend, Academy Award winner and New York Times Bestseller, Mr. Kobe Bryant! He’ll be showcasing his books, “The Wizenard Series: Training Camp” and “Legacy and the Queen.” It also happens to be National Mad Hatter Day so drop by our Bazic booth in Purple Section F1 to celebrate your unbirthday by making some fun mad hatter themed crafts! We’ll sweeten the deal by bringing over a hundred of our items to the event for our special 10 for $10 deal and visit our booth for more details on a free giveaway we’ll be doing as well!
