📖 “You can book-mark my words” 🔖

Enjoy reading a book with your new bookmark buddy! 🐛 You can create a long caterpillar or a friendly owl corner bookmark 🦉

Materials you will need:

Owl Corner Bookmark

Step 1: Gather your materials

Step 2: Cut owl eyes, nose, and wings from template

  • You can choose to do this step after Step 6

Step 3: Fold 6×6″ square in half diagonally to make a triangle

  • Have the triangle so that it is upright – the straight, folded edge should be facing you and the point tip should be facing away from you

Step 4: Fold one of the pointy tips down towards the bottom fold

Step 5: Fold the bottom corners of the triangle up towards the top point (middle)

Step 6: Fold both corners back down towards the inside of the triangle

Step 7: Decorate your owl

  • You can choose to color the template or trace on to a construction paper

Step 9: Glue eyes, nose and wings to the bookmark

Step 10: Enjoy!

  • Insert the bookmark on a corner of a page

Caterpillar Bookmark

Step 1: Gather your materials

Step 2: Cut out caterpillar template

Step 3: Trace body (5 circles) on to construction paper and cut out

  • You can choose to skip this step

Step 4: Decorate / color caterpillar face and cut out

Step 5: Glue together the caterpillar body and face by overlapping each circle

Step 6: Decorate

Step 7: Glue a craft stick to the back of the caterpillar bookmark

Step 8: Enjoy!
