What are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving is a time spent with family and friends over the thing that all of us can agree on being thankful for…food.  While the turkey is roasting away in the oven, let’s spend a few minutes relaxing with a fun craft that you can share over dessert later.  These two simple thankful turkey crafts are easy and fun to create.  The meaning behind each craft can be shared across all ages…What are you thankful for this year?

Thankful Turkey Craft Thanksgiving Craft_Blog This craft is a great for those who want a little more arts and crafts this season.  You can even set up a cute little craft station for guests to work on this while you get those finishing touches done on dinner. All you need are the following supplies:

Start by printing out both the turkey and feather templates.  Cut the turkey out and set it aside.  Use the feather template over the metallic poster board to cut out feathers of various colors.  Glue the feathers onto the glitter frame poster board.  Remember to leave space in the center for the turkey.  Glue the turkey on top of the feathers.  Use a permanent marker to write what you’re more thankful for on each feather.  Now, you have your very own thankful turkey to share with all your loved ones.  The kids (and adults too) can have a little art show to display what they’re most thankful for this holiday season.  Most creative turkey gets dessert first!
