4th of July Rocket DIY
π Light up the sky like itβs the 4th of July π
Create a rocket to go with the Summer Night filled with fireworks blowing up into the sky
Materials you will need:
- Poster Board
- Adhesive
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Duct Tape
- Stickers (to decorate)
- Cardboard Tube
- Straw (or sturdy stick)
- Tissue Paper (for flames)
Step 1: Gather materials
Step 2: Decorate cardboard tube with duct tape
Step 3: Cut template, trace onto poster board and cut
Step 4: Once circle is cut out, cut about half way towards the middle
Step 5: Overlap the ends and glue to create a “cone” top
Step 6: Glue the rim of one end of the cardboard tube and attach to the bottom of the cone top
Step 7: To add “flames”, take a bit of tissue paper and fold in half.
Glue to the inside of the cardboard tube. Cut any access tissue paper if all doesn’t fit.
Step 8: Using scissors, cut thin strips to create the “rocket flames”
Step 9: (Optional) Glue straw to the inside of cardboard tube
Step 10: Decorate
Step 11: Enjoy!
