EVENTS: UC Davis Back to School Rush Week

Back in July, we were invited to visit UC Davis to promote BAZIC Products during their Bookstore Back to School Rush Week, which went from September 25th to September 29th. During this week, it is their busiest week of the quarter for the bookstore. Students stop by to pick up their textbooks, get class materials and purchase school supplies. We were offered a spot outside the bookstore entrance where we can set up our booth, promote BAZIC Products, and get students to buy BAZIC Product items that the bookstore carries. Unfortunately, due to some events we had in September, we were unable to make a visit to UC Davis.

However, we thought about running the same kind of promotion we always do at college visits but have the bookstore help us run the table. As usual, we would do a program for the students to scan the QR code to receive a tote bag filled with some free BAZIC Product items, and at the same time they are entered in the Back to School Giveaway where they get a chance at winning a backpack and college school kit. We prepared 250 pre-filled tote bags and had it shipped to UC Davis.

We heard back from UC Davis that traffic wasn’t as busy as it was in previous years and that they had some left over tote bags. But based on our analytics, we got a good number of signups so we’re glad to see the turn out for this event – as this is our first time collaborating with UC Davis.
