Summer Fun Grab-N-Go

On a warm and breezy afternoon of June 4, 2022, the Parents’ Place in collaboration with San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center (SG/PRC), Richard D. Davis Foundation, Los Angeles Food Bank, Purist, BAZIC Products and Little Sunshine Foundation hosted an Open House Grab and Go – food and backpack event. Children and young adults with developmental disabilities served by SG/PRC received a box of food, a bag of resources, toys and a backpack with school supplies. School and office supplies were donated by BAZIC Products in partnership with the Purist and Little Sunshine Foundation. BAZIC Products donated hundreds of composition books, backpacks, coloring books, puzzle books, pencils, erasers, scissors, and rulers. Little Sunshine Foundation donated backpacks, school utility boxes, coloring pencils, glue and markers. The Purist Group played a key role in securing donations from BAZIC Products. The food, event and other resources were courtesy of the Richard D. Davis Foundation.

The Parents’ Place Parents’ Place FRC – Home (parentsplacefrc.com) is a family resource and empowerment center for families of children and young adults with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. Parents’ Place provides information and education to improve knowledge so parents, caregivers, and professionals can become empowered, allowing them to advocate for their children more effectively. Programs and Services are funded in part B the California Department of Developmental Services, California Department of Education, and by private donors in our community.

Little Sunshine Foundation Press | Little Sunshine The Little Sunshine Foundation is a non-profit California corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes. The organization’s mission is to provide underprivileged youth in the community the necessary resources to improve their quality of life through literacy and sports programs while also providing an avenue to train young adults on how to give back to their community, because we believe every child deserves a little sunshine.

RDDF is committed to improve the quality of the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities that are served by San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center. The foundation provides assistance and activities which would otherwise not be available through the regional center or any other agency.
