EVENTS: Back to School Huntington Park
One of our community partners, One Legacy, shared with us this Back to School event in Huntington Park hosted by Be Social Productions. They were looking for organizations that would donate school supplies and backpacks, and One Legacy thought it would be amazing if we would be there with the local communities and participate as a sponsor. We were very exciting about this opportunity and decided to join in on it. They we’re expecting more than 3K attendees at this event, and surprisingly to say, there were a lot of families who came out to this Back to School event. The event happened on August 12th from 8AM – 1PM at Salt Lake Park in Huntington Park. Families were lining up even an hour before the event started! The event offered free health screenings, school supplies, and more. As usual we did our sign-up giveaways for people to get a free item and tote bag. For arts and crafts, we had our Summer Popsicle Paper Craft.
