DIY Valentine’s Day Owl Treat Bag

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we have a cute and easy DIY idea that you can make with your kids at home! These versatile and inexpensive goodie bags are perfect for small gifts and all kinds of yummy treats.

For this project you will need:

Step 1: Cut out all the pieces from construction papers. We picked brown, pink, red and white as our Valentine’s Day color palette. You will need 6 circles of various sizes, 6 hearts of various sizes, and 1 diamond shape.

Here are the sizes we used for the eyes:

  • 2 7/8 inches in diameter for the brown eyes.
  • 2 1/8 inches in diameter for the white of the eyes.
  • 1” inches in diameter for the pupils.

Step 2: Decorate your hearts with some personalized messages and drawings. Be creative!

Step 3: Glue the eyes together, as well as the hearts.

Step 4: Lay all the pieces on the brown paper bag and once you like the placement, glue all of them in place.

Step 5: Cut off the top corners of the paper bag with your scissors and then fold the top part down.

Step 6: Fill the bag with any treats or snacks you like, staple the corners to secure the bag, and you’re done!
