Supplies needed for this quick craft:

–        Scissors

–        Pencil

–        Poster boards

–        Stickers

–        Tape

Here are the steps that you need to take to create the personalized Father’s Day trophy cutout:

  1. Download our easy template and print out the trophy pieces on your poster boards. Choose dad’s favorite color for an extra personalized touch! You can even use different colors for each piece for an even more unique trophy.
  2. Cut out the trophy pieces.  Use those awesome cutting skills that Dad taught you!
  3. Shape the two larger cutouts into their cup shapes. Then, connect the ends together by taping them on the dotted lines.
  4. Once you have both cups made, tape them together by matching the smaller ends of the cup.  We know dads love duct tape but regular double-sided tape will do.
  5. Using the solid cutout piece, cover the middle part of the trophy where you taped both cups together.  We want to make the trophy look seamless!
  6. You can also cut small strips from the poster board and tape this on the top and bottom of trophy for an extra decorative touch.  Try layering the colors of your dad’s favorite sports team!
  7. Fold the handle cutout on the dotted lines. Then, fold the solid lines outward. Once you get the handle shape, tape one on either side of the trophy for easy handling!  (Handle.  Handling.  Gotta throw in those puns for Dad!)
  8. Your trophy is almost done! It’s time to decorate it with as many stickers as you please.  Don’t forget to write #1 Dad or some other great sentiment on there also!

After you’ve made your award-winning trophy, it’s time to plot your presentation.  Use your ninja skills to surprise Dad.  Take it one step further and show off your culinary skills by presenting the trophy along with a home-cooked meal.  However way you decide to present your trophy to dad, make sure you shower him with love on his special day!
