Sticky notes came about almost 40 years ago. They are a handy approach to note-taking and reminders. Since the inception, these are now everywhere and come in various colors, sizes, and brands. There is more to sticky notes than just being an office/school staple. There are endless uses for them. They can be used at home, for arts, and even for home improvement.
Here are some of the clever ways that you can make use of sticky notes:

Pixelated Art

You can use your average sticky notes to create works of art. This is where you can mix math and art together to create a unique design. You can involve your kids and have them do this as a summer or weekend project.

To create your art, draw and graph your desired artwork on a graphing paper. Then, just measure and create the artwork with sticky notes on a blank wall or canvas. You can start small with just a sheet of paper or cardboard. You can also go big with a wall.

Color-Coded Family Notes

It’s common for families to leave notes for each other especially if everyone’s busy with school and work. To make things easier, color code the notes that you leave. Assign every person in the family a specific color. They’ll instantly know that the note is for them without having to read everything.

Mark Cables

Having tons of cables under your desk and around the home can look messy. With this clutter, it can also get confusing when you’re trying to find which one you need to unplug.

Use sticky notes to easily identify the cord. Label the sticky note and wrap it around the respective cables. You can also use sticky notes to group together two or more cables that are for the TV or the PlayStation. This takes out the mess quickly.

Dust Catcher

Stop dealing with drill dust by collecting it before it falls. Just fold a sticky note and stick it under the hole you’re about to drill. This will serve as a ledge that will catch the falling dust so you don’t have to worry about vacuuming after.

DIY Piñata

Make your own piñata at home for the kids’ party. The piñata is essential to make all the kids go wild, especially when it’s filled with their favorite treats.

To create this, use old cardboard and shape it as you would. It could be it a circle, a star, or a donkey. Fill it up with candies and glue the sides together. Then, you can wrap it up with different sticky notes. Hang it and you’re done.

These are just a few of what sticky notes can do. The possibilities are endless, especially when you get creative with it. There’s no rule. Just have fun! Let us know if you have any sticky note tricks and ideas under your sleeve.
